Frugal Fiancée: First Week of Engagement

Hi frugal friends! Guess what?! Last Saturday, my boyfriend of 6 (almost 7) years popped the question. I have decided that this would be a great opportunity to share some frugal wedding planning tips and tricks. In college, I worked for an event planner and saw first hand how much money is spent on weddings. 6 Ways To Save Money Eating Out

Going out to eat can be expensive. Especially if you are doing it a few times a week. When you are trying to save money, it is extremely helpful to go grocery shopping and cook your own meals at home. However, for your own sanity, it is also important to get out of the house every once in a while. Here are a few suggestions on how to save money when you do go out to eat:  

Chocolate Cold Brew Cupcakes

Is it just me or is cold brew coffee all the rage right now? This week, I worked on developing a recipe for Kohana coffee for a contest they have going on. You can vote for my recipe here! Now you can drink your coffee and eat it too! There is cold brew in the cupcake AND the buttercream frosting. Kick up your caffeine intake and satisfy that sweet
tooth with this treat.




Chocolate Cold Brew Cupcakes with Cold Brew Buttercream Frosting

Cupcake Ingredients: 
1/2 cup butter, softened (do not microwave to soften/melt)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs 
1/2 cup Kohana Cold Brew Concentrate 
1/2 cup milk
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp baking powder

Frosting Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened (do not microwave to soften/melt)
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar 
1/2 tsp vanilla extract 
3 tbsp Kohana Cold Brew Concentrate

Cupcake Directions:
